Children are encouraged to take pride in their appearance and pride in their school. The uniform is compulsory and we believe in our whole school identity. We do not encourage excess of fashion and ask parents to ensure all haircuts are sensible for example, no mohicans, tramlines or shaved patterns.
We also ask hair accessories are minimalistic. Earrings should be studs only and bangles may be worn for religious reasons however your child must remove them for swimming and PE for health and safety reasons.
Boys must wear a navy blue sweatshirt, a pale blue shirt or polo shirt, black or grey trousers or shorts and black shoes.
Girls must wear a navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan, a pale blue polo shirt, blue gingham dress, black or grey skirt/dress or trousers and black shoes.
P.E and Games
Participating in Physical Education lessons is a statutory requirement. To comply with all health and safety regulations all pupils must have a P.E kit in school. This should consist of a plain T-shirt in the house colour your child is in, a pair of shorts and a pair of black pumps. Juniors should have alternative wear for outdoor use, which they can take home if it gets particularly dirty and bring back by the following week.
Trainers are more suitable for running or field activities. For the junior children in cold weather, a warm, woolly jumper or tracksuit is useful. ALL items of uniform and personal belongings should be clearly marked with the pupil's names. Children should not wear jewellery for any P.E activities.
