After an enjoyable coach journey, we arrived at Edgmond hall. We were met by the Edgmond Hall staff and started our tour of the site. We had a tour of the court yard and playing fields where the children get to enjoy their free time, some children played football, some played cricket and others used the outdoor equipment.

After our health and safety talk, we headed out onto the field to enjoy the autumnal sunshine and eat our packed lunches. The children were then shown up to their bedrooms and started to unpack their suitcases. They helped their partner to make their beds and organise their backpacks with the essentials we will need each day.

Our first activity was lots of team building games. The children did really well, using their problem solving skills, teamwork and communication.

Afterwards, the children were ready for dinner which was a delicious vegetable curry, rice and naan bread followed by a treacle tart and custard or fruit for dessert.

The children were getting very excited and ready for the night walk in the woods. With their torches and wellies at the ready we set off into the grounds of Edgmond hall. As it got darker, we listened to the owl in the distance and were fascinated by the brightness of the moonlight.

After the fun, we headed back inside for hot chocolate and a biscuit (a yummy supper treat!) The children were ready for bed and settled, excited for our activities tomorrow. A great first day at Edgmond hall!

*pictures aren't uploading well, so we do apologise but can assure you the children are all having an amazing time!
