Recently, some of our governors took part in a learning walk around our school focusing on our new SACRE. With Mrs Connop, Mrs Bunch and Mrs Pickett, our governors spent time in each class within school looking at a variety of topics within RE. They wanted to share their experience and feedback to the children what they had enjoyed about their visits.

Feedback to Children

Mrs S Gosal

The learning walk was very enjoyable. It was very interesting to see how the different year groups were learning the same topic of RE and why Christmas is celebrated. In year 2, they were learning about a variety of religions. The children were very engaged and demonstrated great respect for different religions.  The children were enthusiastic and worked well in groups. It was very rewarding as a governor to see the children fully engaged and enjoying their work. The teachers really understood their children and had targeted the work accordingly. Thank you for having us in your classes years 1, 2 and 3!

I would like to thank Year 6 for welcoming me into your RE Lesson. The lesson evoked lots of thoughts and encouraged you to look for ways that you and your families could make a difference. I was very impressed by your research skills and the confidence shown by all of you when talking to me about the facts that you were finding about some very influential people. Thank you and well done!
